At the age of 15, we lost our Michael in a tragic watercraft accident.

Michael was a perfectly imperfect kid with an iridescent superpower - connecting to people.

As a fearless toddler with big blue eyes and a dazzling smile, Michael introduced himself and his twin brother to every kid at the park. And in school, his ability to befriend others multiplied as he was bold, brave and kind — and had just a bit moxie. This was his light.

Michael used his unique emotional intelligence to give hugs, high fives and fist bumps to celebrate others — and he was the first to call a friend going through a tough time.

His legacy lives on in all the connections he made during his short but well-lived life and in the new connections made through Michael’s Light.
